Welcome to Seventh Generation Midwives Toronto
Here at SGMT, we are dedicated to providing high quality midwifery care to pregnant persons and their families, as well as ensuring compassionate and culturally sensitive care for members of Indigenous communities.
What we do
Seventh Generation Midwives Toronto (SGMT) is a group practice of midwives who provide high quality prenatal and postpartum care to pregnant individuals and their families.
Our support area for clients includes the City of Toronto, with a focus on those living downtown, as well as ensuring care for the Indigenous community.
We provide primary health care to our families through pregnancy, labour and delivery, and the first six weeks postpartum. This includes primary care of the newborn until six weeks of age.
In reclaiming and sharing Indigenous teachings, we bring the sentiment surrounding the medicine wheel in supporting our families with a holistic approach that takes into account the spiritual, emotional, mental and physical experiences through their childbearing year.
We have privileges at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, the Toronto Birth Centre and can also facilitate home births.
