Carmen De Freitas

Hi, my name is Carmen De Freitas. I come from Oakville, Ontario but grew up rurally in Manitoba on a farm with chickens and horses. My dreams of becoming a midwife started there after seeing the supportive and knowledgeable community of midwives and birth workers provide excellent care to our rural community. I love art and music, and spend time reading, writing, singing, and painting. The creative arts are an important part of my life and have helped me understand birth and midwifery more deeply. I am grateful for the midwives and clients who invite me into their experiences.
