Sara Wolfe, Midwife
Ahnii bozhoo! My name is Sara Wolfe. I am Anishnawbe (Ojibway) with family ties to Brunswick House First Nation, Nishnawbe Aski Nation. I have been a midwife since 2002 and a nurse since 1997. I was part of the group who started SGMT in 2005 and I am very passionate about the work we do here. I am also a mother to two beautiful young daughters.
I believe in midwifery care that meets individuals, families and communities where they are at and in a way that leverages our collective strengths and resiliencies. I bring an Indigenous worldview to the care I provide that considers a balanced approach to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual impacts of having a baby. I love finding meaningful ways to use traditional knowledge and teachings about pregnancy, birth and parenting for everyone. I am always learning and believe our relationship is based on reciprocity, with us both learning on this journey together.
