Auduzhe Mino Nesewinon

Auduzhe Mino Nesewinong means Place of Healthy Breathing in Anishinaabemowin. Auduzhe is a comprehensive First Nations, Inuit and Métis specific COVID-19 response program, designed to provide culturally safe access to COVID-19 public health services for Indigenous people living in Toronto. The program is a collaboration between Na-Me-Res, Seventh Generation Midwives Toronto (SGMT), Well Living House at St. Michael’s Hospital, and the Centre for Wise Practices in Indigenous Health at Women’s College Hospital.

Part of the program is the COVID-19 assessment center which is community-directed and focused. Indigenous peoples can receive integrated COVID-19 testing, including case management, contract tracing, outreach supports, referrals and prescriptions . The program assessment center also supports those who live or work directly with Indigenous populations.
