Seventh Generation Midwives Toronto (SGMT) is a group of midwives who offer maternity care to women from the City of Toronto, particularly those from the downtown area, and from the Aboriginal community. We have privileges at Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre. We provide midwifery care throughout pregnancy, labour, birth, and the first 6 weeks postpartum.

Minister Deb Matthews announces SGMT as lead partner in midwife-led birth centre for Toronto

SGMT to be lead partner in exciting new project. We will work closely with the Toronto Birth Centre and Women’s College Hospital to make a culturally safe and welcoming space to meet the needs of birthing women and their families.
