Amanda Cordocedo, Midwife
My name is Amanda Cordocedo.
I am originally from Vancouver, BC and am of Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), Chilean and European decent. I have long been interested in maternal and child health and was a member of the birth community as a doula prior to beginning my education at McMaster University. I’m honoured to be joining the community here at Seventh Generation Midwives.
I have a strong belief that everyone has the right to safe, accessible, and compassionate healthcare. I aim to provide midwifery care that reflects those beliefs and holds space for people to feel empowered in their journey. I remain grateful for, and inspired by, the opportunities provided in such a rewarding profession. In my down time you can find me enjoying the great outdoors, exploring this great city, advocating for social justice, or simply enjoying a coffee in a quiet moment. I look forward to getting to know many of you during our time together.
